There are so many things I loved about this session. First of all, the fall colors are ON POINT. Thank goodness, it’s November and FINALLY looks like fall in Texas. We’ve only been waiting about forever. Second, this was an extended family session with four generations represented. Great grandparents, grandparents, mom, dad and baby – what is sweeter than that?

Sheri and Carl welcomed me into their beautiful home in Castle Hills, where we met prior to our session in the neighborhood, and introduced me not only to Sheri’s parents, but her son, daughter in law, and adorable baby Jack. Not long after that, Sheri hopped into her golf cart and led our caravan to Lake Avalon, which would become the beautiful backdrop to our session.

To say that baby Jack, who turned 1 in September, stole the show is a bit of an understatement. He is such a happy baby and I couldn’t help but notice how taken with him every member of the family is. It was impossible not to keep smiling in his presence. And he had plenty of entertainment during the entire session. Whoever was not in the photos with him was on the sidelines, singing Baby Shark and keeping him smiling! I absolutely love how universal Baby Shark is. My son is 4 and still obsessed.
